Frequently Asked Question
Send your requirements (product type, quantity, delivery terms) to our sales team via email or the contact form. We will reply with a proforma contract or quotation. KMG typically trades on FOB (loading port) or CIF (destination port) Incoterms, but other terms (e.g. EXW) can be arranged per buyer’s needs.
Our contracts follow international arbitration (usually ICC) and English-language terms. Standard payment methods include irrevocable letters of credit, advance payment or bank guarantees. Exact terms are negotiated case-by-case, balancing mutual risk.
KMG Exports adheres to the latest ICC Incoterms (2020). Commonly used terms are FOB and CIF. We ensure clarity on point of delivery, responsibilities and insurance in each contract.
Yes. Under Kazakhstan’s current regulations, the export of diesel, gasoline and aviation kerosene to non-EAEU countries is temporarily suspended through end-2024. This measure prioritizes domestic supply. Other products (crude oil, fuel oil, petrochemicals) are not restricted and can be freely exported under our contracts. Buyers should stay informed, and KMG Exports will advise on the legal status before finalizing any deal.
All KMG products meet applicable international standards. For example, our refineries produce Euro-4/5 fuels and implement a quality management system (ISO 9001) across operations. We provide quality certificates with each shipment. For environmental and safety compliance, KMG operates robust management systems certified to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 (OHS), and related standards.
Upon request, we can provide technical data sheets (density, sulfur, water content, etc.) for each product batch. Our lab analysis is ISO-certified. Crude oil buyers can also nominate KMG to perform joint tests or audits. For refined products, we can arrange visits or share refinery upgrade plans to demonstrate compliance with specifications.
KMG can arrange pipeline bookings, rail transport and tanker shipments. We handle customs clearance and paperwork under Kazakh/EAEU rules. Buyers can choose delivery via pipeline terminus (e.g. Novorossiysk, Alashankou) or by tanker. We also coordinate third-party shipping if needed.
Besides its state backing, KMG Export cooperates with international majors and institutions. Our parent company has joint ventures with Chevron, Lukoil and others in major oilfields, as well as partnerships in petrochemicals. KMG International (Rompetrol) in Romania and joint projects in Asia expand our global reach. These relationships ensure that KMG Exports can offer reliable supply aligned with global industry practices.
